There are a variety of totally free accounts receivable software packages or ARS designed especially, for the record keeping that can be downloaded directly from the web. Several companies offer free accounts receivable software, which can be very productive for home or running a small company. One well-known company that offers free accounts receivable software programs is Intuit who is the maker of Quick Books. In 2009 Intuit offered a version of Quick Books called Simple Start Simple Start is restricted in the number of customers it will handle. Almost all the free ARS programs can give the consumer the functionality to print checks, create invoices and pay bills. Another free ARS package is GnuCash. This is an open source program that mimics Quick Books to look at and functionality.

Another among the free ARS programs available is Express Accounts, which usually states to be an accountancy program, which operates on both Windows and Mac.

With this particular program, you can produce balance sheets as well as profit plus loss statements along with standard accounting functions. Additionally, it can fax or email from within the program. For PC Users Adminsoft includes a free accounts receivable software program that runs using the PC only and works together with Windows versions from 95 to Windows ’07. Also, as stated before the movie files are mpg or mpg4 files that need to build up a buffer before actually beginning to play and therefore the amount of space you have in your computer will also make a difference.

The movie should begin to play in five minutes. If it doesn’t start or you see a broken Q image in the middle of the screen, it means that you don’t have the Quicktime movie player installed on your system.

Apart from a stable cable connection, you also need the QuickTime movie player installed in your system. Most computers already have this software installed. Otherwise you can download it from the net itself.

In this article I am going to discuss the best free software. As mentioned all programs are free for download. I will try to include downloads for all the main areas of computing, for example I will have one for antivirus, one firewall etc.

Antivirus Software

One of the best free antivirus software packages currently on the market is probably Avast, this antivirus offers great protection and one of the best detection rates when compared to other antivirus programs.

Malware Remover

Malwarebytes is a great free malware remover, you can use this program for free as a stand alone remover.

Firewall Protection

A good free firewall is Outpost firewall. Probably one of the easiest to configure and set up it is very useful for newcomers to computer security.

Internet Browser

My favourite browser is Google Chrome. There are many free extensions available for Google Chrome and different ways you can customize the appearance and feel of the browser.

Link Scanner

WOT is a free link scanner. This program will scan any links when you search in Google or another search engine and determine whether they are safe, dangerous or unknown. It then provides you with a green light for good, red light for bad and an amber light for unknown.

FTP Client

Probably the best FTP client I have found would be FireFTP, this is an add-on for Mozilla Firefox.

Office Software

Open Office is a free office suite which includes all the usual programs you would find in the Microsoft counterpart.

Free Preventive Maintenance Software

While several preventive maintenance software manufacturers offer free trials for their products before charging a fee, some companies offer their products for free. Free preventive maintenance software is rare, and is sometimes less thorough than software that must be purchased, but it can be a good solution for a new or struggling business.

Often a company will offer the bare minimum of their software for free, and ask that the consumer pay for any upgrades. Again, this bare minimum could be enough for many businesses. Alternatively, it is often sufficient for a company to get free preventive maintenance software just for help with the scheduling of the work while they carry out the rest of the operations manually.

In addition, many preventive maintenance programs offer 30-day trials where the user can see if the software will match their needs. During this time, the user could see how the software works and try to manually duplicate its effects after the 30 days are finished. This is possible, but not recommended because the software’s purpose is to make people’s jobs easier. Trying to duplicate its processes may create more trouble than it is worth.

In many cases, CMMS programs are offered as shareware. With this option, the user must be careful to get authorized copies in order to avoid any harmful computer viruses and as well as costly copyright issues. However, if the consumer confirms that they have legitimate software, this can be a good option.

Whether a user should obtain free preventive maintenance software or pay for it will depend on the his or her needs. Either option can be viable, but large, complex organizations are probably better off buying the software.
